The Government of Ukraine has decided to extend state regulation of prices for certain types of food products during martial law and for three months after its termination or cancellation. This was reported by the State Service for Consumer Protection.

According to Resolution No. 650 "On Regulation of Prices for Certain Types of Food Products and Ensuring Stable Operation of Food Producers under Martial Law", which entered into force on June 30, 2023, prices for a limited list of food products will be controlled during this period by setting a maximum level of trade margin (markup) of no more than 10%.

The list of products subject to state price regulation includes premium wheat flour, pasteurized milk with a fat content of 2.5% (in film), C1 chicken eggs, poultry (chicken carcasses, chicken quarters), refined sunflower oil, rye wheat bread and loaves.

To ease pressure on business, the government also decided to cancel the procedure for declaring changes in retail prices for goods of important social importance and for anti-epidemic goods.

These measures are aimed at ensuring a stable price situation in the food market and protecting the interests of consumers. The government continues to take measures to ensure the availability of socially important goods for the population and to support food producers in the difficult conditions of martial law.
