Ukraine is actively completing the sowing of winter crops, and seven regions of the country have already successfully completed the sowing campaign, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

The last week saw the completion of winter crops in Chernihiv and Chernivtsi regions. Farmers in Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Volyn, Zaporizhzhia, and Zakarpattia regions were the first to complete sowing.

As of the beginning of November, the total area under winter crops reached 5,530 thousand hectares. In particular, the area under grain crops is more than 4,386 thousand hectares, of which wheat is sown on 3,867 thousand hectares, barley on 442 thousand hectares, and rye on 76 thousand hectares. The increase in the area under grain crops of 175 thousand hectares in just one week is significant.

Winter rapeseed sowing has been completed in all regions of Ukraine, and a total of 1,144 thousand hectares of the crop have been planted.

Ukrainian farmers are actively implementing the latest agricultural technologies and increasing the yield of winter crops, contributing to the stability of the country's agricultural sector. The results of the sowing campaign promise to be important for ensuring food security and Ukraine's export potential on the international market.
